- This morning, Nemo and Dory greeted students as they walked in to the building.
- 91 Countrywood students collectively read 2,500 minutes!
- Ms. Lebit/Ms. Bonamo's class is in the lead with 205 total minutes read after Day 1.
- We had 8 Guest Readers visit during Library Specials and read for Ms. Babcock, Ms. Mitchell, Ms. Sanchez, Ms. Livoti, Ms. Burr, and Ms. Zisel/Mr. Cardella's classes.
- We awarded prizes to the class that was randomly chosen from all of the correct answers submitted for Riddle of the Day. (Riddle: What does Cinderella wear to swim? Answer: Glass Flippers)
- We gave out prizes to 2 students from each grade whose Reading Fish were randomly chosen from all the fish submitted for the day.
Countrywood PTA is proud to participate once again in NYS PTA's Pick a Reading Partner (PARP) program. "Saddle Up and Read!" is the theme for this year's PARP Week (2/4-2/8/19) at Countrywood. PARP is a statewide program with the goal of inspiring Parents and Reading Partners to read together with their children for at least 15 minutes daily.
