Day 2 of PARP Week!

Here's a recap of what happened during Day 2 of PARP Week:

  • Today students and teachers participated in D.E.A.R. - Drop Everything and Read!
  • Our riddle box by the front entrance is overflowing!!! The Riddle of the Day today was a clever one...What starts with a "t" and ends with a "t" and has "t" in it?  Give up...a teapot!  One class with the correct answer was randomly selected and each student in that class received a prize as well as the student who submitted the riddle.

Our Riddle Box is overflowing!!!
  • Ms. Korn graciously welcomed 9 Guest Readers into Library Specials today.
  • We've started to receive some very creative and artistic bookmarks and Superhero Comics.  As a reminder, from all submissions received we'll be displaying the bookmarks at South Huntington Public Library and we'll be making one HUGE comic e-book!
  • Don't forget - tomorrow (Wednesday, 2/7) is "Read My Clothes" Day.  Whether it's a motivational sayings like "Dream Big" to a t-shirt with the name of your favorite sports team or player, wear it so someone else can read it!
Remember to incorporate some of the squares from Reading BINGO into your 15 minutes of daily reading.  Thank you for everyone's participation in and enthusiasm for this week's PARP activities!
