Nooks, Kindles and iPads...oh my!

There is no doubt about it, we are definitely living in a digital world.  Many printed resources are now widely available online making reading accessible from anywhere you have a wifi connection.  Ms. Korn has shared with us two of her favorite online reading resources for children.

Storyline Online

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation records well-known actors reading children's books and makes graphically dynamic videos so that children around the world can be read to with just a click of a Storyline Online video book image.

TumbleBook Library

South Huntington Public Library has a subscription to TumbleBooks for patrons.  TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books that have been created from existing picture books from well-known publishers and authors and converted to the TumbleBooks format.  Also included are Read Alongs, Non-Fiction Books, Picture Books in French and Spanish, and Puzzles and Games.
